Since December 2022 the practice has run a ‘Come and Craft’ session on a Friday lunchtime at the Stakes Lodge Surgery. Hosted by our Social Prescribers the session is an opportunity to meet others and have a cuppa whilst completing a mindful craft activity.  

Regular attendees of the session have provided the following feedback: 

“It is a chance to get together and socialise with people I wouldn’t otherwise meet” 

“It is a chance to exchange knitting/crochet patterns and techniques with other crafters” 

“I look forward every Friday to coming to the Craft Group. Such friendly people and they are always willing to help you” 

“Comfortable space with range of staff and visitors to encourage conversation. Thank You” 

Each year the group create many wonderful items which are then sold to raise money for the Rowans Hospice. We are pleased to announce that this year we have raised over £600.  

The sessions are open to all patients and run between 12:30 and 13:30 each Friday. There is no need to sign up, just drop in.
